For the past year I have been working on this film, Innunguaq, Imitation of man. This is my first animated film and I plan to enter it in some animation festival's such as the TAIS animation showcase and the Annecy 2011 YouTube competition. I have never submitted any work to a festival so I am really excited to see how this goes. I feel my film has a subtle yet important message about the future of this planet, a message that should be seen by all. What better way to say something important than through film and animation, a medium that is most viewed in this day and age. I hope you enjoy the film.

Metamorphosis



This is short that I helped animate in China at the CUC. I animated three shots. The turtle turning into a dear then kicking the wolf. The octopus chasing the crab and the cougar chasing the ostrich onto the motel sign. The crab was animated by fellow class mate Adam Kirk.

Between third and fourth year at Sheridan each student has to intern in an animation studio. I was fortunate to have spent my summer interning at the (CUC) Communication University of China. This is a panorama I took in the 798 art district.

Apollos Mission, the story of man with a dream to accomplish the impossible.





During third year each class was broken up into two groups. Each group developed a story that was made into a film. Working with a team of friends was amazing and very rewarding. I learned quite a bit about film pipelines and the needs and expectations of animation production. A great experience that I hope to have again someday.

This is the first short I animated using over a hundred frames. It was created in grade seven for a year end project. At the time most of my drawing was done 8 1/2 by 11 printer paper, so I used it for the animation. I invented a crude registration system to center my drawings. Four dots in each corner of the area I wanted to animate in. Notice the dot in the bottom left corner slowly creep over to the left. This was one of the registers. Even using a small light table my drawings jitter and wave. This waving effect inspired me to name this piece Woogles in Wavey Land. I received an A plus on the project and my teacher Mrs Kat said she couldn't wait to see my name in the credits of an animated movie. I hope to someday make a longer more exciting adventure of Woogles in Wavey Land.
